About the role
- Business Analytics Consultant leveraging SQL, SAS, and Tableau to provide data-driven solutions for PNC's Retail Finance organization in Pittsburgh or Birmingham.
Responsibilities
- Utilize SQL, SAS, or other coding languages to extract data for monthly reporting, business cases, ad hoc analyses, and data research support.
- Modify existing code and develop original processes to meet evolving data needs.
- Present data effectively using Tableau, Excel, and SQL, ensuring optimal performance with large datasets.
- Collaborate with other data analysts and modelers in Finance and other departments, educating peers and making recommendations for data field inclusions.
- Create dynamic financial modeling for business cases.
- Look to streamline processes and improve scalability while implementing adequate controls and validation measures.
Requirements
- Proficient financial analytical skills like accounting, excel, financial modeling, and data analysis.
- Proficiency in SQL, SAS, or similar coding languages.
- Experience in data visualization tools such as Tableau and Excel.
- Problem-solving skills to break down complex coding issues and gaps.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Communication skills to explain ideas or work methods clearly, ask and answer questions productively.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on maintaining data integrity.
- 2+ years of relevant professional experience.
- University / college degree, OR a comparable combination of education, job specific certification(s), and experience (including military service) may be considered.
