About the role

  • Sales Director leading a sales team at Plexus, focusing on closing deals and coaching staff. Driving sales excellence in the legal tech platform.

Responsibilities

  • Personally bring on new logos by month 6.
  • Build and maintain a qualified pipeline with 3x coverage.
  • Consistently execute Plexus’s consultative sales playbook in-market, following a Challenger sales methodology.
  • Manage a team of 2–4 SDRs and 1–3 Account Executives.
  • Ensure 75%+ of the team meets quota.
  • Coach through weekly 1:1s, live-call reviews, and deal strategy sessions.
  • Drive a world-class sales process, including pipeline inspection, forecast accuracy (±10%), and performance reviews.
  • Deploy KPIs and performance scorecards for each team role.
  • Establish a high-cadence team rhythm (daily standups, weekly wins/losses, monthly QBRs).
  • Hire 2+ high-performing SDRs/AEs within 90 days using structured hiring.
  • Retain high performers through career development and Plexus’s “Best Version” growth culture.
  • Partner with Marketing to close the loop on lead quality and campaigns.
  • Work with Product to provide customer feedback from the field.
  • Align with CS to ensure smooth handoffs and long-term customer value.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in B2B sales (preferably in complex sales, SaaS is helpful but not a pre-requisite)
  • 2+ years in a sales leadership or player-coach capacity.
  • Proven record of exceeding personal targets and coaching others to do the same.
  • Skilled in sales methodologies (MEDDIC, Challenger, etc) and CRM tools (Salesforce/HubSpot).
  • Experience hiring, onboarding, and performance managing junior sales talent.
