About the role
- Senior QA Engineer at Pitch enhancing software testing and QA processes. Collaborating with multiple teams to ensure quality and performance of applications through automated testing.
Responsibilities
- Configure automated tests to execute reliably and efficiently in CI/CD environments
- Monitor open issues for severity and priority, communicate risks and follow through remediation
- Work with the product team and other development teams to understand how new features should be tested
- Work with engineers to define and implement mechanisms to inject testing earlier into the software development process
- Define non-functional testing needs (security, performance, etc.)
- Develop new tests and tools for our frontend, backend, CI/CD
- Identify and execute on opportunities to improve the QA process
Requirements
- Extensive experience working with test automation and cross-functional testing.
- Excellent bug reporting skills
- Knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes
- Demonstrable knowledge of functional programming
- Experience with testing complex single page web applications and modern Continuous Integration systems (e.g., Circle CI, Travis)
- Strong experience with modern web UI automation frameworks (e.g Cypress.io, Spectron/WebdriverIO)
- Knowledge of UI test automation on mobile is a plus
