About the role
- Software Dev QA Developer at Fortinet running tests on FortiGate products. Collaborating with developers and researching new cybersecurity technologies.
Responsibilities
- Run manual development and release testing of FortiGate related products
- Setup and maintain various test systems involving multiple network components
- Implement and maintain automated test software using Python scripting language
- Handle customer responses and issues
- Research the latest developments in cybersecurity, conduct competitive analyses, and continuously incorporate new technologies, methodologies, and features into product designs
- Work close to developers
Requirements
- Experience Level - 5 Years and above
- Solid understanding of network protocols, such as TCP/IP and HTTPS/SSL, as well as routing and switching technologies
- Knowledge of OpenSSL, Apache, Iptables, MySQL, Tcpdump and Wireshark
- Good knowledge of security, i.e. firewall, encryption, PKI, x509 certificates
- Experience with programming or scripting skills (Perl, Python, Ruby, Tcl, Bash, Powershell, etc.)
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science
