About the role

  • Head of Oncology Program Management overseeing a team driving Pfizer’s Oncology portfolio from development to market. Ensuring compliance and strategic delivery of key milestones across global teams and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a world-class program management organization responsible for driving the delivery of Pfizer’s Oncology portfolio
  • Oversee a team of senior Program Management Team Leaders and Global Program Managers
  • Ensure effective cross functional integration of strategy, operations, and execution
  • Accountable for achieving key portfolio milestones including FIH, SOCA, POC, pivotal study starts, regulatory submissions, and approvals
  • Develop project management department vision; align and motivate staff
  • Establish and maintain effective interfaces among Partner Line Leaders to drive program delivery
  • Manage GPMs effectively to optimize asset delivery and compliance

Requirements

  • 15+ years of experience in managing multiple, highly complex projects and portfolio governance
  • 5+ years’ experience of Oncology Pharma PM experience
  • Deep expertise in project management, portfolio management, drug development, and/or pharmaceutical discipline
  • Broad knowledge of project management methodologies, principles, best practices, systems, and tools
  • Strong technical experience in drug development disciplines
  • Knowledge of commercial issues that drive late-stage development
  • Proven record of implementing project management practices and process improvements
  • Successful track record and experience in budgetary management and fiscal awareness
  • Training and academic background in life sciences, engineering, business, or related field; advanced degree (e.g., MBA, MS, PharmD, PhD) is a plus
