About the role

• Senior Accountant at PETRONAS analyzing financial transactions and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. Supporting audits and preparing financial reports for accuracy and timeliness.

Responsibilities

• Analyze intercompany transactions and prepare transfer pricing calculations to adjust corporate income tax, if necessary;
• Execute and review journal entries, reconciliations and analyses to ensure compliance with accounting standards (IFRS, BR GAAP);
• Support monthly, quarterly and annual closing activities to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, reporting results to the group;
• Manage fixed and intangible assets, controlling acquisitions, disposals, depreciation, amortization and physical verification of assets;
• Support internal and external audits by providing documentation, explanations and process information;
• Prepare and submit statutory filings (ECD/ECF);
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, corporate policies and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting (active CRC registration).
• Previous experience in the area/function;
• Knowledge of accounting and tax legislation;
• Advanced skills in Excel, Word and PowerPoint;
• Intermediate skills in Power BI;
• Postgraduate qualification in a related field;
• Experience supporting audits;
• Intermediate English;
• Experience with SAP – Finance/Accounting module;
• Knowledge of automation tools.
