About the role

  • Account Manager for analytical solutions at PerkinElmer, focusing on diverse analytical fields across Germany. Engaging in consultative sales and developing client relationships within the territory.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the sales territory for products in chromatography (GC, LC, GC/MS, LC/MS), atomic (AAS, ICP OES/MS) and molecular spectroscopy (IR, UV/VIS)
  • Revenue responsibility for the primary postal code area 90–97
  • Sales-oriented, consultative advising of customers
  • Targeted development of new business relationships, including via social media, and maintenance of existing customer base
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve market position
  • Product presentations at company events, seminars, trade shows and congresses
  • Collaboration with the service and support organization
  • Close cooperation with Key Account Managers, application specialists and internal sales staff

Requirements

  • Completed university degree in a natural science, preferably chemistry
  • Expertise in analytical chemistry, instrumental analysis and mass spectrometry
  • Initial sales experience in capital goods / investment goods sales
  • Affinity for and experience in social selling
  • Independent, determined and sales-oriented working style
  • Organizational talent, commitment and a strong customer orientation
  • Very good German and English, written and spoken
  • Good knowledge of MS Office and CRM systems
  • Residence conveniently and centrally located within the sales territory, valid driving license and willingness to travel (>50%)
