About the role

  • Toller Manager overseeing external tolling network to ensure quality and efficiency of Cellasto products. Manage strategic projects at BASF's Performance Materials division while driving cost optimization and process improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Technically and commercially manage the Tollers operation, ensuring compliance across applicable standards
  • Successfully use knowledge of IATF and OEM specific requirements with a high grade of autonomy
  • Drive changes and standardization, working in liaison with local and global functions
  • Strategically manage the Toller network, combining Plant internal and Tollers external assets capabilities
  • Provide cost efficient portfolio management solutions for the Plant and the business
  • Ensure safe, reliable, cost effective and stable production processes at Tollers
  • Commit to oversee the Tollers process performance, with focus on cost, quality and overall efficiency
  • Drive OpEx measures to enable quality improvements and cost savings
  • Provide technical review and guidance for new parts projects, ensuring successful introduction to manufacturing at Tollers
  • Participate in Design review and Reject Rate meetings, focusing on process (reject rate) performance
  • Manage projects workflows and design documentation according to established practices and procedures
  • Successfully lead capital projects, including all activities from scope development to execution and completion with final handover to production or go-to-market
  • Work closely with the Toller Quality Engineer in making technical decisions for new parts set-up, quality investigations, capacity and portfolio management, and process troubleshooting

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in mechanical or industrial engineering, or correlated engineering areas with a blend of professional experience that supports the success in the role
  • MBA or certification in Project Management will be considered a differential
  • Preferably 5 years of experience in manufacturing for automotive, supervising or coordinating in-house or third-parties Toller processes
  • Commercial management experience negotiating bids or managing contracts
  • Solid understanding of Project Management fundamentals with demonstrating history of leading roles in projects
  • Skills of a good team player and communicate well across multiple levels of the organization
  • 50% travel required to local Tollers
