About the role

  • Nurse Manager directing staffing and service activities of nursing personnel at Mass General Brigham. Responsible for quality patient care and staff coaching in cardiovascular services.

Responsibilities

  • Directs, plans, and coordinates the service activities and staffing performance of professional nursing and auxiliary nursing personnel
  • May provide direct patient care
  • Ensure the development, implementation, and evaluation of staff onboarding, training, and education
  • Provide ongoing coaching and performance feedback for staff
  • Ensure a positive work environment that is safe for patients, visitors, and staff
  • Coordinating unit activities with other hospital departments
  • Develops and implements staffing plans

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required, Master's Degree preferred
  • Registered Nurse [RN - State License]
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support [ACLS] preferred
  • Basic Life Support [BLS Certification]
  • Nursing experience 2-3 years required
  • Nursing leadership experience 1-2 years preferred
  • Cardiac experience preferred
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledgeable of the care required by respective age groups
