About the role

  • Clinical Systems Administrator at PepperPointe managing Practice Management Systems for dental practices. Collaborating with IT teams to enhance system optimization and compliance in healthcare settings.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary technical resource for PMS platforms (Dentrix Ascend, Cloud 9, Curve, Etc.)
  • Manage user access, configurations, and system settings across practices
  • Troubleshoot PMS-related issues and partner with vendors for resolution
  • Identify opportunities to improve workflows, efficiency, and system utilization
  • Assist in onboarding new practices and supporting system transitions when needed
  • Support Microsoft 365, Entra ID (Azure AD), and endpoint management (Intune)
  • Assist with device deployments, patching, and system maintenance
  • Monitor system performance and proactively resolve issues
  • Maintain documentation for systems, configurations, and processes
  • Participate in infrastructure projects and system improvements
  • Ensure PMS and supporting systems align with HIPAA and organizational security standards
  • Assist in enforcing access controls, MFA, and least privilege principles
  • Support audit readiness and compliance initiatives
  • Partner with IT leadership on risk mitigation and vulnerability management
  • Act as escalation point for Help Desk on PMS-related issues
  • Work closely with operational leaders to align systems with business workflows
  • Provide guidance and training to internal teams on PMS functionality
  • Coordinate with third-party vendors and support teams

Requirements

  • Experience working with dental or healthcare Practice Management Systems (Dentrix Ascend, Cloud 9 preferred)
  • Strong background in systems administration (Microsoft 365, Azure/Entra, endpoints)
  • Solid troubleshooting skills across applications, systems, and integrations
  • Understanding of HIPAA compliance and security best practices
  • Ability to balance technical depth with user-facing support
  • Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Organized and able to manage multiple priorities across practices
