Senior Systems Administrator responsible for stability and integrity of corporate server infrastructure and Active Directory environment. Involves design, installation, monitoring, and optimization of server systems.
About the role
- Systems Administrator managing server infrastructure for banking clients in Alabama and Georgia. Focused on deploying technologies and providing server support and maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Will be supporting our banking clients within 3 hours of drivable distance around Troy, AL.
- Mileage for required travel is reimbursable.
- Support escalations from engineers for day to day and projects
- Server as the subject matter expert of customer environments in your region
- Provide technical leadership and mentoring for other engineers on your team
- Manage and maintain customer server environments both in our hosted platform and on-premise (remotely)
- Manage and maintain Citrix Virtual Apps and ADC (NetScaler)
- M365 Migrations and Administration
- Azure Administration
- Server Builds and application deployments
- Audit remediations for workstation and server environments
- Working with various teams and managed incident management teams to resolve support escalations and outages
- Planning out configuration ready for installation for solutions
- Proactive maintenance of the hosted systems.
- Expand platforms as necessary and refine processes for better environment performance
Requirements
- Proven experience performing systems engineering and administration with large scale systems.
- Extensive VMWare and virtualization skills, preferably VMware certified but not required.
- Experience with PowerShell scripting to manage hosted infrastructure
- Experience with server hardware, for example Hypervisor or ESXI server builds
- Extensive experience with MS server 2012, 2016 and 2019 operating systems
- Experience with Active Directory integration.
- Strong independent analytical troubleshooting skills to identify issues that could cross multiple business areas and technologies
- TCP/IP, network monitoring and tools and technical writing principles and practices
- Strong sense of customer focus, ownership, urgency, and drive
- Strong understanding of SSL, Internet (SMTP, LDAP, DNS) and other networking protocols.
- Experience with deploying, troubleshooting, and supporting multi-tier applications.
- Excellent communication and follow-up skills, paying strong attention to detail.
- Professional and responsible attitude with the ability to work without supervision.
- Proven experience working within SLA’s, change management processes, and an ITIL v3 framework.
- Fluent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.

- Experience in Linux Administration will be a plus but not required

- M365 Administration Experience (tenant management and hardening, Security, Intune, etc.)
- CCNA
