About the role

  • Fire Sprinkler Project Manager responsible for lifecycle management of fire sprinkler projects. Leading project phases from planning through installation in a hybrid work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all phases of fire sprinkler projects including design review, layout verification, installation, inspection, repair, and system maintenance.
  • Create and maintain detailed project schedules, budgets, manpower plans, and material lists.
  • Coordinate effectively with clients, engineers, GCs, architects, inspectors, and subcontractors to ensure scope accuracy and project success.
  • Lead, mentor, and direct field crews while ensuring proper staffing and resource allocation.
  • Ensure all work complies with NFPA standards, local/state codes, AHJ requirements, and safety regulations.
  • Procure project materials, track inventory, and ensure timely delivery to job sites.
  • Conduct regular job-site visits to monitor progress, enforce quality standards, and resolve technical or logistical challenges.
  • Prepare and deliver project updates, cost projections, and schedule reports to the Operations Manager.
  • Identify project risks or delays and implement mitigation strategies promptly.
  • Maintain accurate and thorough project documentation including change orders, RFI logs, daily reports, and close-out packets.
  • Support field installation efforts when required to meet deadlines or address complex technical issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (preferred).
  • 3–5+ years of experience in fire protection sprinkler systems project management.
  • Fire service, military, or mechanical trades experience considered valuable.
  • Working knowledge of NFPA standards, fire codes, and inspection requirements (preferred).
  • Ability to read, review, and interpret blueprints, hydraulic calculations, and installation drawings with accuracy.
  • Proven leadership skills with experience managing multiple crews or concurrent projects.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills with clients and internal teams.
  • Highly organized with strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification (preferred).
  • NICET Level II or III in Sprinkler or Fire Alarm (preferred but not required).
