About the role

  • Field Network Technician role at Pacific Office Automation installing and maintaining network solutions. Collaborating with clients in the Austin, TX area to solve technical issues.

Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot network connectivity, security systems, and Wi-Fi networks
  • Provide support for Windows server environments and desktop operating systems
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues both remotely and on-site
  • Collaborate with clients and vendors, translating technical concepts for non-technical users
  • Lead client discovery conversations to assess needs and recommend solutions
  • Document service activity, solutions, and recommendations clearly and accurately
  • Travel locally to client sites as needed

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a network field technician or similar role
  • Strong understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, SMTP, FTP, SMB, ports)
  • Experience supporting Windows desktop environments and Microsoft applications
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Proven problem-solving ability and strong initiative
  • Valid drivers license with a clean driving record
