IT SAP Finance Functional Analyst responsible for finance applications support. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and develop solutions throughout the software lifecycle.
Responsibilities
Collaborating with stakeholders and finance teams to analyze current financial processes, gathering requirements, and identifying opportunities for improvement and optimization.
Provide expert consulting to the production support teams to identify and resolve production issues, support month end close, and suggest system/process improvement ideas.
Translating business requirements into SAP functionalities by configuring the SAP FICO modules (including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Accounting, Cost Center Accounting, Profit Center Accounting, etc.) to align with organizational needs and regulatory requirements.
Developing detailed functional specifications for reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, and forms (RICEFW objects) and maintaining comprehensive documentation of system configurations, processes, and user procedures.
Performing and coordinating various testing cycles, including unit testing, integration testing, regression testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT), to ensure the system functions correctly and meets business needs.
Providing end-user support, troubleshooting, and resolving SAP application issues, and developing and delivering training materials and sessions to educate users on effective system usage.
Designing and developing financial reports and dashboards (often using tools like Report Painter/Writer) to support financial analysis, decision-making, and compliance with internal and external reporting standards.
Working closely with technical (ABAP developers) and cross-functional teams (e.g., EAM, MM, SD, PP modules) to ensure seamless integration between different SAP modules and third-party systems.
Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and accounting standards, and continuously reviewing and optimizing SAP FICO functionalities and best practices to enhance efficiency.
Responsible for certification of all applications under IT Finance portfolio, partner with S/4HANA migration program for application remediation, solution design, development, testing, deployment, stabilization, and ongoing operational support.
Requirements
BA/BS in Computer Science/ Information Systems, Finance, Business, or equivalent work experience
7 years experience designing, configuring and developing complex solutions using SAP FICO modules (General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Accounting, Cost Center Accounting, Profit Center Accounting, etc.)
Strong understanding of ERP interrelationships and dependencies of related modules and systems
SAP S/4 implementation and / or support experience (Desired)
Experience in SAP EAM, SD and SCM modules (Desired)
Experience in SAP Ariba (Desired)
Strong written and verbal communication skills (Desired)
Proficient in writing requirements documents, functional specifications and preparing business process flows (Desired)
Experience with designing new enhancements, reports, and interfaces with non-SAP systems (Desired)
Experience with integrations (Concur, Taulia, PowerPlan, UI Planner, Kofax, other modules/applications) (Desired)
Experience in implementing SAP BTP solutions (Desired)
Utility experience (Desired)
Demonstrates familiarity in the following areas: SOX compliance, regulatory compliance, operational / disaster recovery (Desired).
