About the role

  • Principal Program Manager leading cross-functional projects in information governance for PG&E. Managing program strategy and alignment to ensure compliance and data management across the enterprise.

Responsibilities

  • Manages major cross-functional projects and initiatives
  • Leads collaborative efforts to align information and data governance workstreams
  • Solves unique and complex problems, anticipating issues and developing innovative solutions
  • Demonstrates strategic leadership with internal stakeholders to support Company goals
  • Leads development of program goals and metrics to meet company goals and objectives.
  • Collaborates across the organization to ensure alignment of goals to support program
  • Responsible for utilizing other departments and teams to meet program goals
  • Develops or provides significant input to PG&E leadership to influence information and data strategies impacting PG&E and its customers.

Requirements

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in any of Management, Technology, Business, or related discipline; or equivalent experience
  • 10 or more years of experience in information governance, data management, IT or related field
  • Desired Master’s Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in utility operations.
  • Certification in information governance/records management or data management.
  • Knowledge of records management, information governance and/or data management.
  • Strong communication skills for all levels of organization, both verbal and in writing.
  • Project management skills.
  • Ability to work across multiple functions and build strong working relationships.
  • Ability to facilitate decision-making.
  • Ability to synthesize complex issues into easy-to-understand concepts.
  • Ability to influence varying levels of leadership and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities to completion.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.
  • Ability to engage appropriate SMEs in problem solving teams.
  • Ability to multi-task and meet critical deadlines while delivering high quality work products.
