About the role
- Construction Manager overseeing and directing construction projects within gas transmission for PG&E. Ensuring projects are executed safely, on time, and within budget with high quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and direct multiple construction projects, ensuring they are executed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards
- Support daily on-site construction activities as the central point of contact for Project Managers, Engineers and subcontractors
- Identify projects, consult on project feasibility, and coordinate with construction crews
- Perform construction oversight and review job packages and construction estimates
- Communicate construction operation’s adherence to safety, quality, cost and schedule goals
- Act as the primary liaison between project stakeholders and conduct regular meetings to communicate progress
- Inspects construction work and coordinates field inspectors
- Works with Project Managers for planning/schedule dates for construction
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
- 7 years of experience in the field of Industrial engineering or Construction
- 9 years working experience in the field of Industrial Engineering or Construction (Desired)
- Knowledge of carbon steel piping materials, welding processes and standards used on Gas Transmission Construction (Desired)
- Working Knowledge of Primavera P6, Unifier, ProjectWise, SAP or similar (Desired)
- Demonstrated abilities in Cost accounting / Inspection / Contract administration (Desired)
- Demonstrated knowledge in Gas Transmission Construction (Desired)
- Ability to perform cost and project scheduling (Desired)
- Gas Transmission material / construction / welding standards (Desired)
