Responsibilities
Ensure coordination of interrelating activities of trade partners, suppliers, vendors, and customers, design, and engineering efforts
Responsible for organizational, leadership, communication, management, and problem-solving skills on the project(s)
Monitor and report on the financial status of the project(s)
Develop job progress schedule to ensure actual construction parallels with the schedule
Purchase and monitor the delivery of all needed materials for their scope of responsibility on the project(s)
Negotiate contracts with trade partners and vendors for their trade scope of responsibility
Review and approve trade partner and vendor payment requests
Evaluate change order requests from trade partners in a timely fashion
Work with design and engineering teams to ensure project(s) is/are designed, procured, and constructed within the boundaries of operating guidelines
Prepare and present various reports to manage the project(s)
Organize and maintain job files to ensure continuity of workflow
Review shop drawings and submittals to ensure compliance with the scope of work
Responsible for the communication, implementation, and enforcement of Gray’s safety and quality programs on site
Champion overall team leadership and collaboration of multiple teams on the project.
Requirements
Minimum of eight years of experience in construction management
Technical knowledge and experience supporting projects in a Project Manager II role or equivalent
Preference for a bachelor’s degree in a related field (Engineering, Construction Management, or Architecture)
Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office and innovative programs/software provided by Gray
