About the role

  • Project Manager overseeing commercial construction projects for Gray Construction with focus on big box retail and teamwork. Coordinating subcontractors and managing project oversight from start to finish.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate interrelating activities of subcontractors, suppliers, vendors, and customers
  • Monitor and report on the financial status of the project(s)
  • Develop job progress schedule to ensure that construction parallels with the schedule
  • Purchase and monitor delivery of all needed materials for the project(s)
  • Negotiate contracts with subcontractors and vendors
  • Review and approve subcontractor and vendor payment requests
  • Work with design and engineering managers to ensure project(s) are designed, procured, and constructed within operating guidelines
  • Prepare various reports to manage the project(s) effectively

Requirements

  • 5 to 10 years of experience in construction management
  • 3 to 5 years of experience managing big box retail construction projects preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Architecture preferred
  • AIA billing experience is preferred
