About the role
- Technical Data Business Analyst managing business analysis and data analytics projects at Optimus SBR. Collaborating with clients to modernize data capabilities and enhance decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Lead and support end-to-end business analysis activities for data, analytics, and technology projects.
- Facilitate requirements workshops and interviews to gather business needs, data requirements, user stories, and functional specifications.
- Develop clear and complete business analysis documentation, including:
- o Business Requirement Documents (BRDs)
- o Functional Requirements Documents (FRDs)
- o User stories and acceptance criteria
- o Process maps, swimlane diagrams, and data flow diagrams
- o System-to-system data mapping
- o Requirements traceability matrices
- Participate in project planning, status reporting, and preparation of client deliverables, presentations, and recommendations.
- Support identification of project risks and issues and contribute to the development of mitigation plans.
- Communicate complex data and technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Conduct advanced data analysis using SQL to explore datasets, validate requirements, troubleshoot issues, and support solution design.
- Write and optimize queries to join, filter, cleanse, aggregate, and quality-check data from multiple sources.
- Design and develop dashboards, reports, and visualizations using Power BI and Tableau, applying best practices in UI/UX, data storytelling, and analytics.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst or Business Systems Analyst.
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience developing dashboards and analytics using Power BI and Tableau.
- Strong SQL skills with experience performing data profiling, validation, and technical analysis.
- University degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking abilities.
- Superior consulting and client relationship management skills.
- Strong communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to bridge technical and non-technical audiences.
