About the role

  • Technical Pre-Sales Engineer managing pre-sales tasks for RIEDEL's products in the DACH region. Consulting with clients and presenting technical proposals to enhance product knowledge and sales skills.

Responsibilities

  • Primarily responsible for pre-sales activities in coordination with the Sales team for the DACH region (Germany, Austria, Switzerland), with flexibility to provide pre-sales support for other sub-regions within EMEA.
  • Consult with customers, system integrators, consultants, and Riedel personnel to design systems that meet and exceed client requirements both technically and commercially.
  • Prepare comprehensive, detailed written technical proposals and respond to RFP/RFI tenders as required.
  • Serve as Riedel’s technical ambassador by delivering in-depth product and technology demonstrations at our headquarters, ensuring customers and partners are well informed about products and our technical expertise.
  • Participate in public engagements such as events, trade shows, and panels as required.
  • Anticipate and plan project phases in collaboration with the Professional Services team.
  • Support the Services team and customers during project implementation as needed.
  • Organize and/or deliver product demonstrations (demos), proofs of concept (POCs), and solution presentations onsite or online.
  • Proactively educate clients and business partners to enhance their product knowledge, technical acumen, and technical sales skills.

Requirements

  • University degree or completed vocational training, e.g., in electrical engineering, communications, audio and/or video engineering, or IT.
  • Pre-sales / engineering experience required.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills with strong ability to schedule tasks and projects according to priorities.
  • Understanding of the broadcast / media technology market.
  • Knowledge of baseband and IP broadcast technologies and intercom communication systems, as well as audio and video technology.
  • Strong proficiency in PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Visio or CAD; experience with CRMs and project management tools.
  • Maximum flexibility is essential – able to work cooperatively across all company departments.
  • Mobility and willingness to travel – resides within reach of a major airport (willing to travel up to 50% of the time).
  • Native German speaker with excellent written and spoken English. Additional languages are a plus to support business across different EMEA regions.
