Technical Pre-Sales Engineer managing pre-sales tasks for RIEDEL's products in the DACH region. Consulting with clients and presenting technical proposals to enhance product knowledge and sales skills.
Responsibilities
Primarily responsible for pre-sales activities in coordination with the Sales team for the DACH region (Germany, Austria, Switzerland), with flexibility to provide pre-sales support for other sub-regions within EMEA.
Consult with customers, system integrators, consultants, and Riedel personnel to design systems that meet and exceed client requirements both technically and commercially.
Prepare comprehensive, detailed written technical proposals and respond to RFP/RFI tenders as required.
Serve as Riedel’s technical ambassador by delivering in-depth product and technology demonstrations at our headquarters, ensuring customers and partners are well informed about products and our technical expertise.
Participate in public engagements such as events, trade shows, and panels as required.
Anticipate and plan project phases in collaboration with the Professional Services team.
Support the Services team and customers during project implementation as needed.
Organize and/or deliver product demonstrations (demos), proofs of concept (POCs), and solution presentations onsite or online.
Proactively educate clients and business partners to enhance their product knowledge, technical acumen, and technical sales skills.
Requirements
University degree or completed vocational training, e.g., in electrical engineering, communications, audio and/or video engineering, or IT.
Pre-sales / engineering experience required.
Excellent organizational and communication skills with strong ability to schedule tasks and projects according to priorities.
Understanding of the broadcast / media technology market.
Knowledge of baseband and IP broadcast technologies and intercom communication systems, as well as audio and video technology.
Strong proficiency in PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Visio or CAD; experience with CRMs and project management tools.
Maximum flexibility is essential – able to work cooperatively across all company departments.
Mobility and willingness to travel – resides within reach of a major airport (willing to travel up to 50% of the time).
Native German speaker with excellent written and spoken English. Additional languages are a plus to support business across different EMEA regions.
