- Provides timely and accurate support to client companies and Claims department.
- Assesses employability and promotes restoration of function to facilitate return to work.
- Initiates and facilitates case management and ancillary services for optimal outcomes.
- Conducts comprehensive return-to-work assessments with action plans supported by cost benefit analyses.
- Partners with Claims associates to determine assistance extent based on various factors.
- Provides vocational counseling assistance and refers for SSDI eligibility guidance.
- Acts as Team Resource by answering functionality and employability questions.
- Provides clear vocational recommendations for goals at team meetings.
- Directs vendor services and ensures service quality.
- Educates customers about vocational rehabilitation services and benefits.
- Documents claims and maintains clear, professional records.
Requirements
- Must possess training and experience consistent with professionals in the rehabilitation, or related field.
- Vocational Rehabilitation Counselors must have a master’s degree in a field related, but not limited to, Rehabilitation.
- Must possess or obtain, if necessary, a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC) and/or Certified Vocational Evaluator (CVE) professional designation.
- Or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background
