Responsibilities
This professional leads the complete learning journey, from needs analysis and strategic design (using models such as ADDIE, SAM and CHACAP) through to outcomes evaluation.
Responsible for managing projects, establishing timelines and working with stakeholders (internal clients and Subject Matter Experts) to define learning objectives.
Leads the authoring of materials, ensuring consistent application of microlearning fundamentals to optimize the learner experience.
Additionally responsible for creating and implementing engagement strategies that increase enrollment, completion and transfer of knowledge to the workplace.
In addition to core Instructional Design responsibilities, the Senior professional must demonstrate creative and persuasive writing to produce copy for marketing pieces. This skill is applied to daily challenges and to creating copy that drives engagement and conversion in external and internal communications. It also enables concise copy for solutions aimed at commercial teams.
Deliverables include: learning journeys (onboarding, learning paths); multimedia materials and scripts; learning objects in Articulate Rise/Storyline; guides, e-learning courses, games, infographics, manuals and playbooks; KPI reports and recommendations.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Pedagogy/Education or Communications required, with a minimum of 3 years of proven experience in the field.
Excellent writing skills, strong verbal communication, knowledge of learning methodologies, and proficiency in creating detailed storyboards, as well as experience with authoring tools such as Articulate Rise and LXP/LMS platforms.
Must have broad knowledge of and proficiency with Articulate Rise, and experience and ease in creating and developing prompts for AI platforms.
Knowledge of programming in Articulate Storyline 360 (including the use of variables and triggers) and the ability to design and implement gamification strategies to address motivation and retention of sales teams are considered differentiators.
The Senior professional must demonstrate strategic business vision and analytical reasoning to examine complex information and connect training outcomes to KPIs and company objectives. Strong influencing skills and the ability to build relationships to secure leadership buy-in for development initiatives are required.
Creative thinking and awareness of market trends to introduce innovative approaches are essential. Must have high adaptability and be a collaborative team player, finding quick and smart ways to overcome challenges with the available resources.
