- Manage and maintain the server infrastructure (Windows/Linux)
- Administer and deploy virtualization environments based on Microsoft Windows Hyper-V Server
- Monitor system performance and server utilization
- Maintain monitoring systems such as PRTG, SmokePing and CheckMK
- Oversee regular system backups (VEEAM) and perform restore tests
- Implement security measures to protect systems and data
- Troubleshoot and support the team with technical issues
- Participate in 1st- and 2nd-level support
- Document system changes in Atlassian Confluence and track progress in Jira
Requirements
- Degree in a STEM subject or vocational training as an IT specialist (Fachinformatiker) or comparable qualification
- Several years of experience in server and system administration preferred
- Solid knowledge of administering Windows environments; experience with Microsoft Hyper-V is a plus
- Proficiency in subnetting and familiarity with concepts such as Active Directory, DNS and DHCP
- Knowledge of network technologies and protocols
- Strong problem-solving skills, structured working style and analytical thinking
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Fluent in German and English
