About the role

  • Set the vision - Own the EU billing strategy and make sure it aligns with business goals and local market requirements.
  • Own the backlog - Prioritise features, improvements, and bugs related to billing, keeping customer and Ops impact front of mind.
  • Drive delivery - Work closely with Kraken, Octopus Energy Engineering teams, and Ops teams to make things happen.
  • Connect the dots - Gather input from local Ops and finance teams to make sure we’re solving the right problems.
  • Keep it moving - Share progress and priorities clearly with stakeholders, flagging risks early.
  • Improve continuously - Spot roadblocks, simplify how we work, and find ways to make things simpler and more scalable.

Requirements

  • Experience as a Product Owner, ideally in billing, payments, or fintech.
  • Strong prioritisation skills - able to balance business, customer, and Ops needs.
  • Great communicator, comfortable working with and influencing both internal teams and external partners.
  • Hands-on, problem-solving mindset, not afraid to dig into the details.
  • Experience working in agile environments with product and tech teams.
  • Nice to have: Exposure to the energy sector
  • Background working across multiple countries or regions.
  • Ability to speak another European language (in addition to English)
