About the role

  • Risk Manager responsible for identifying and mitigating risks in early childhood education facilities. Championing safety culture and compliance, while supporting staff and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular risk assessments and audits across all locations to identify potential safety hazards and compliance issues.
  • Develop and implement risk management policies and procedures to enhance safety and minimize liability.
  • Collaborate with staff and management to create a strong culture of safety awareness.
  • Provide training and guidance on safety protocols and emergency procedures to all employees.
  • Coordinate incident reporting and management, investigating accidents or issues to determine causes and preventive measures.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations related to childcare facilities.
  • Work closely with insurance providers and legal counsel to manage risk exposures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in risk management, safety management, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in risk management or a related role, preferably in the education sector.
  • Strong knowledge of safety regulations, risk assessment techniques, and crisis management.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups.
  • Proactive approach to identifying risks and implementing solutions.
  • Certifications in risk management or safety (preferred).
