About the role

  • Product Line Leader in hybrid role managing vision and strategy for nVent electrical solutions. Leading cross-functional teams and driving product management for market needs in electrical industry.

Responsibilities

  • Develop strategic plans and convert them into annual growth plans with supporting functional objectives
  • Manage product portfolios and new product roadmaps
  • Develop and deploy annual capital expenditure plans
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and execution of product line initiatives
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify market trends, customer needs, and competitive threats
  • Analyze product performance and customer feedback to find opportunities for improvement and optimization
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on our products and provide ongoing sales support
  • Develop and deliver sales training materials and tools to equip the sales team with knowledge and resources
  • Establish objectives and key results to measure the effectiveness of product management and new product development initiatives
  • Track and analyze product line performance data and present insights to executive leadership
  • Manage and mentor Product Management team members

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Engineering, or a related field (MBA preferred)
  • 15+ years of experience in Product Management or Engineering Management, preferably in the electrical industry
  • Proven track record of developing and delivering successful go-to-market strategies
  • Solid understanding of product positioning, messaging, and branding
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
  • Strong presentation abilities
  • Product development and commercialization experience
  • 10+ years of experience leading and mentoring teams
