About the role
- Associate Director responsible for fundraising and alumni engagement for Wharton School. Managing donor relationships and achieving annual cash and participation goals in Philadelphia.
Responsibilities
- Personally solicit Wharton Fund prospects at the Benjamin Franklin Society level
- Manage a portfolio of leadership annual giving prospects while collaborating with the Leadership Gift Officer
- Work with Alumni Relations to recruit fundraising volunteers and manage their progress
- Achieve Wharton Fund cash and participation targets each fiscal year
- Analyze reports to evaluate alumni giving patterns and inform leadership strategies
- Identify and cultivate leadership annual giving prospects
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science and 3 to 5 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required
- Demonstrated ability to build and manage relationships with alumni, volunteers, and high-capacity donors
- Proven skill in frontline fundraising or sales, including the ability to confidently solicit gifts
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for diverse stakeholders
- Excellent organizational and project management abilities
- Experience working with CRM or fundraising databases
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to analyze donor data
