About the role

  • Crop Consultant responsible for selling products and maintaining sales programs in agriculture. Develop client relationships and provide training while meeting sales goals in an assigned territory.

Responsibilities

  • Sell company products and services
  • Maintain sales programs within assigned territory/accounts
  • Responsible for meeting annual sales goals
  • Monitor competitive activity and trends
  • Knowledge of product features, benefits, and use
  • Provide training to employees, as needed
  • Initiate trials that will support marketing efforts
  • Interpret soil, tissue, and water analysis
  • Research and respond to technical inquiries
  • Develop proprietary fertilizer formulations
  • Publish and distribute periodic summaries of agronomic observations and research
  • Maintain and build customer contacts

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in an agriculturally based program
  • Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the agriculture industry as well as the application of agricultural chemicals
  • CCA Certification a plus, member in good standing, or ability to test for credentials
  • Valid Driver’s License
