About the role

  • District Business Manager overseeing pharmaceutical sales and team leadership in Canada. Driving sales success and achieving district business objectives with travel requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and oversee annual district business plans, including key business drivers, sales forecasts, and promotional budgets.
  • Assist Sales Representatives in creating and monitoring annual territory business plans to ensure alignment with district goals.
  • Lead and coach Sales Representatives to achieve their sales targets through motivational techniques and regular touchpoints.
  • Establish open and consistent communication channels with Sales Representatives, sharing competitive insights, coaching tips, and best practices.
  • Organise and conduct motivational District Meetings bi-annually or as needed.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Sales, other District Business Managers, and cross-functional partners to coordinate activities and share information.
  • Represent the company at conferences, symposiums, and lectures.

Requirements

  • A university degree in science, business, or a related field.
  • 5–10 years of experience in pharmaceutical or medical sales (medical device experience is acceptable).
  • 2–3 years of people management/leadership experience.
  • A proven track record of sales success and the ability to manage change.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build trust and relationships across functions.
  • Availability to travel 30% of the time.
