Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end design of AI-driven conversational experiences
- Conduct regular qualitative research with teachers
- Identify user behavior patterns
- Map critical gaps between what the AI does, what the teacher needs, and what the teacher believes it does
- Analyze usage data with an empathetic lens
- Define success criteria centered on comprehension, trust, and problem resolution
- Synthesize insights and communicate learnings to inform design strategy
- Translate product strategy and AI capabilities into user journeys and workflows
- Create rapid, functional prototypes
- Validate iteratively with teachers
- Design AI-specific experiences
- Specify and document use cases, scenarios, and expected behaviors
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and pedagogical teams
- Monitor post-launch outcomes
- Model daily AI usage within design processes
- Structure processes and workflows that incorporate AI
- Teach and develop the design team
- Manage the product design team with continuous feedback
Requirements
- Experience in product design delivering digital products (web, mobile, or conversational experiences)
- Experience with service design
- Strong fluency in user research and prototyping
- Experience with prompt-based prototyping tools
- Proven experience in team leadership and process management
- Strong portfolio demonstrating user-centered thinking and high-quality execution
- Experience working with Product Managers to define success metrics, KPIs, and in data analysis
- Ability to learn new technologies and processes quickly
- Experience adopting AI in daily design work
