About the role
- Local Operations Manager overseeing windfarms across Co Kerry and surrounding areas for Nordex Group. Responsible for service teams, QHSE compliance, financial performance, and operational effectiveness.
Responsibilities
- Overall responsibility for QHSE compliance in the service area
- Display role model behaviours and drive safety
- Overall responsibility for financial and commercial performance of the service area including budget planning and performance
- Effectively drive and report on KPI’s
- Manage operational performance ensuring WTG availability
- Managing stock levels and inventory
- Providing leadership to site teams and delegating to team leads
- Recruitment and development of service employees
- Create business plans for service points
- Oversee site safety auditing and reporting
- Manage site facilities and large operations
Requirements
- Experience in a leadership role within the wind industry or a similar sector
- Completed apprenticeship or have relevant experience in Mechanical or Electrical engineering role
- Working knowledge in commercial or financial controls
- Comfortable with managing financial performance, KPI’s, and budgets
- Qualification or relevant experience in business management desirable
- Experience of managing remote field-based teams essential
- Strong Computer literacy with ability to use MS Office and workload management systems (SAP)
- Experience in dealing with complex businesses, preferably matrix organisations
- Strong customer focused approach
- Excellent decision making, planning and prioritisation skills
- Strong negotiation and influencing skills

- Full UK Driving Licence required with regular travel and nights away from home
