About the role
- Contract and claims manager in the renewable energy sector at Nordex in Hamburg. Managing contracts and claims for construction projects in wind energy infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Management of FPA contracts for cranes and installation contractors
- Coordination of contractual matters between site managers and CTBU management
- Lead coordination between project management and procurement in the contractual area
- Support the construction department in handling claims against and from subcontractors in accordance with applicable contractual clauses
- Validation of certifications and preparation of monthly cost reports
- Responsible for the financial closing of construction projects through negotiation of claims and additional costs
- Development of KPIs to address non-conformities
- Assessment and qualification of contracts with a view to management approval
Requirements
- Degree in Law or a combined degree in Business Administration and Law
- At least 3 years' experience managing third-party/vendor contracts
- Experience in the renewable energy industry is a plus
- Strong English skills (at least B2–C1); German and Spanish are a plus
- Ability to connect and collaborate across functions, departments and countries
- Strong communication skills and a team player
- Structured, organized and proactive working style
- Methodical approach and solution-oriented mindset
- Resilient and accustomed to working under deadline pressure in project-oriented environments
