About the role

  • Community Engagement & Education Specialist working at CCS to engage with the community and support financial literacy programs. Focus on partnership development and existing relationship enhancement.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and foster new, mutually beneficial partnerships through community engagement.
  • Nurture and maintain existing paid partner relationships through various means.
  • Identify sponsorship ideas that meet the needs of existing partners.
  • Engage in financial literacy educational support, impact reporting, and stakeholder awareness of CCS’s programs and services.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma, preferably in communications or education, is an asset.
  • Three to five years of experience in finance, business development, and education.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and a well-developed professional relationship-building skill set.
  • Ability to manage a portfolio of corporate relationships with a high degree of confidence.
  • Ability to build and manage their own client pipelines.
  • Dynamic presentation, facilitation, and teaching skills, with the ability to engage audiences.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to influence others.
  • Understanding of consumer credit and personal money management concepts.
  • Empathy and a genuine desire to work as part of a team and help people.
  • Strong organizational abilities, including the ability to multitask while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Proficiency in CRM applications and usage.
  • Fluency in both English and French is required.
