About the role

  • Community Life Service Coordinator supporting residents and coordinating services at Historic South End Apartments in Boston. Collaborating with local organizations to build community resources and support residents' goals.

Responsibilities

  • Reporting to the Community Manager, develops and coordinates support services for residents of Historic South End Apartments in Boston.
  • Ensure resident and community success through close work with property management and building relationships with local and regional partners.
  • Planning programs and other on-site opportunities for residents.
  • Working one-on-one with residents to assist them in achieving their goals.
  • Track and report on progress as required by partners and funders to fulfill grant commitments.
  • Build relationships with residents to understand their aspirations and connect them with local resources.
  • Conduct new welcome orientations for new residents.
  • Create outreach and communication with residents, including newsletters and flyers.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development, at least 12 hours per year that pertain to the SC position.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree with a focus in social work, human services, public health, or community development
  • 2+ years of overall professional experience working with seniors and people with disabilities in housing or human services agencies required
  • Proficiency with MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook and other computer programs
  • Previous engagement, communication and collaboration with residents of diverse socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds preferred
  • Experience working with partners and site team members to implement programs and initiatives
  • Knowledge of Yardi, Property Management databases, Dynamics and Power BI is a plus.
  • Bilingual Spanish speaker strongly preferred.
