About the role

  • Intern at Bell Labs working on digital twin for AI fabrics. Engaging with advanced optical systems research and AI fabrics development.

Responsibilities

  • As an intern at Bell Labs, you will get familiar with state-of-the-art research on advanced optical systems/DSP and take part to the development of next-gen optical communications.• You will acquire an operational understanding of optical technologies and communication theory.• You will be asked to work on digital twin for AI fabrics based on high-speed optical system. This work covers both software and hardware developments.

Requirements

  • Candidates should be enrolled in a Master of Science/Engineering diploma program in the field of communication theory, computer science, applied physics or any related field (M2/End of year project).• Math proficiency, good command of advanced calculus. Knowledge of optimization helps a lot.• Skills in AI and deep learning development packages (Pytorch, Tensorflow, ...), and foundations of algorithms• Applied MATLAB and/or Python programming.• Basic knowledge of fiber optics is strongly appreciated, but not mandatory.• Ability to formulate new problems, working under stress and respecting deadlines.• Strong written and spoken communications skills.• Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment. **
