About the role

  • Project Developer Manager focusing on renewable energy projects with a strong emphasis on photovoltaic systems. Joining a growing international team to contribute to sustainable energy solutions in Austria.

Responsibilities

  • Project development in the field of renewable energy, in particular photovoltaic ground-mounted plants and battery energy storage systems (BESS): development of PV ground-mounted projects and BESS from site identification to construction readiness
  • Identification, assessment and acquisition of suitable sites
  • Management and coordination of the required rezoning, land-use allocation and permitting processes
  • Obtaining grid capacity, connection conditions and grid compatibility studies from grid operators
  • Ensuring project readiness while complying with all technical, legal and economic requirements
  • Land securing: support and coordination in the search for, assessment of and securing suitable land parcels
  • Preparation and conduct of contract negotiations with landowners in coordination with the legal department
  • Presentation of projects and negotiations with municipalities
  • Stakeholder management: building and maintaining contacts with authorities, grid operators, municipalities, planners, expert assessors and other stakeholders
  • Management of external consultants and project developers
  • Financial responsibility: preparation, monitoring and reporting of budgets (with management support)
  • Support in financing and PPA (power purchase agreement) negotiations
  • Support in the sale of projects

Requirements

  • Completed degree in a relevant field, e.g., Economics, Law, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Technology, Renewable Energy, Landscape Planning, Environmental Planning, Environmental Sciences, Agriculture, or a comparable qualification
  • Professional experience in renewable energy project development and a strong network
  • Structured, analytical and solution-oriented way of working with a high degree of personal responsibility
  • Excellent negotiation skills, a confident manner and strong interpersonal sensitivity
  • Business-fluent German and very good written and spoken English, and willingness to travel frequently
