About the role

  • AWS System Administrator responsible for AWS infrastructure management in cross-domain systems. Handling performance, security, and collaboration with various teams.

Responsibilities

  • Manage AWS resources: Provision, configure, and manage AWS resources such as EC2 instances, EBS volumes, VPCs, security groups, and IAM roles.
  • Monitor system performance: Monitor system performance metrics, identify and troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain system security: Implement and enforce security best practices, including access control, data encryption, and vulnerability management.
  • Automate tasks: Automate routine administrative tasks using scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) and AWS tools (e.g., AWS CLI, CloudFormation).
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues: Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to AWS infrastructure and applications.
  • Implement and maintain backups: Implement and maintain backup and recovery procedures for AWS resources.
  • Stay current with AWS technologies: Keep abreast of the latest AWS services, features, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with teams: Work closely with development, operations, and security teams to ensure smooth and efficient operations.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of relevant experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a Technical field (i.e. Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science) or equivalent experience in lieu of degree
  • DoD 8140.01 / DoD 8570.01-M.IAT Level II Certification to start
  • Active TS Clearance (must obtain a Poly within 6 months of start date)
