About the role

  • Lead Network Plant Engineer managing ISP and OSP telecommunications infrastructure for Air Force facilities. Collaborating with project managers and engineers to ensure successful deployment and maintenance.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the operations and maintenance of inside plant (ISP) and outside plant (OSP) telecommunications infrastructure
  • Develop ISP/OSP architectures to support design and optimization
  • Provide guidance to survey teams for documentation
  • Review Site Survey ISP/OSP information and develop survey reports
  • Provide Tier 3 support for operations, maintenance and documentation
  • Ensure installations are performed per approved design and standards
  • Oversee and support deployment teams for survey, installation, testing, and QA activities

Requirements

  • Active Secret security clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of related work experience
  • Experience in network planning, design strategies for an enterprise BAN
  • Familiarity with Air Force telecommunications regulations and standards
  • Strong knowledge of fiber optics, copper cabling, and wireless technologies
  • Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD and/or Visio)
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
