About the role

  • Junior Network Engineer supporting Air Force Modernization program at CACI. Focused on infrastructure modernization of base area networks.

Responsibilities

  • Support the creation of network architectures, topology diagrams, and data flow artifacts (Visio)
  • Assist the Site Survey and Engineering team in the design of modernized network architecture
  • Implement, and document secure network architectures
  • Support the deployment of network management tools (SNMP, SYSLOG, orchestration)
  • Perform, troubleshoot, and resolve network issues
  • Provide Tier 2 support to Operations & Maintenance (O&M) teams
  • Ensure that all installations meet industry safety standards and operational cleanliness

Requirements

  • Active Secret security clearance
  • Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of related work experience
  • HS diploma/associate degree with 5+ years of DoD experience supporting large, complex networks may be considered in lieu of bachelor's degree
  • Direct experience managing Air Force Base Area Networks
  • DoD 8140 IAT II Baseline Certification (CompTIA Security+ CE or CCNA-SEC); or equivalent
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
