Director of Network Engineering overseeing large-scale enterprise networks at MUFG. Leading transformational initiatives and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable network solutions.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with other departments on solutions, system deployment, configuration, and testing for network operations.
Conduct site surveys to determine anticipated areas of coverage.
Execute network planning to manage growth by monitoring performance, exploring performance improvement opportunities, and identifying capacity needs.
Manage the acquisition, installation, and maintenance of LAN, WAN, and voice networks.
Develop network configuration specifications and maintenance processes.
Perform research to identify candidate access points and equipment offerings.
Monitor deployment and testing processes; provide technical solutions for network improvements.
Deliver on major transformational projects including datacenter reengineering, consolidation, and multi-cloud rationalization and deployments.
Requirements
Significant experience in network engineering
Team management experience preferred
Solid experience in designing, deploying, and operating large enterprise complex network environments managing data network infrastructure
Hands-on engineering experience with knowledge of network technologies: Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, F5 load-balancers, VPN concentrators, Cisco ACI, SD-WAN, AWS cloud services, DNS, proxy, etc.
Design, deployment, and troubleshooting experience in MPLS, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, STP, ether channels, OTV, VPC, VDC, NTP, SNMP, NetFlow, CEF, security protocols, and network management tools
Deep experience with network architecture, IT infrastructure, and application technologies
High level of expertise in QoS design and implementation
Strong hands-on experience on Cisco Nexus and other series
Hands-on deployment experience on Python and Ansible
Solid experience leading datacenter and WAN transformational network engineering efforts.
