About the role
- AWS Cloud Engineer Lead designing and implementing cloud solutions for CACI. Focusing on AWS and EKS to ensure scalable, secure cloud environments.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the cloud strategy in alignment with business objectives.
- Evaluate and recommend cloud services, platforms, and technologies, with a focus on AWS and EKS.
- Design scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud architectures leveraging AWS and EKS.
- Create detailed architecture documentation, including diagrams, specifications, and deployment guides.
- Lead the implementation of cloud solutions using AWS and EKS.
- Plan and execute migration of applications and data to the cloud, ensuring seamless integration with EKS container platforms.
- Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations within AWS and EKS environments.
- Monitor and optimize cloud resource utilization and performance across AWS and EKS.
- Work closely with development, operations, and business teams to understand requirements and provide technical guidance on AWS and EKS.
- Develop and manage cloud budgeting and cost optimization strategies for AWS and EKS.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field
- Active DOD Top Secret/SCI with CI Ploy security clearance
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in cloud architecture or a related role.
- Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts, including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS
- Extensive experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, etc.)
- Significant EKS or other Kubernetes experience
- Experience with containerization technologies
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools (e.g., Jenkins, Git, Terraform)
- Active CompTIA security+ certificate
