About the role

  • Accounts Receivable Portfolio Manager managing AR performance for global customers at NETGEAR's EMEA headquarters in Cork, Ireland. Responsibilities include credit management, stakeholder collaboration, and compliance oversight.

Responsibilities

  • Own AR portfolio performance for assigned global customers/entities, including collections strategy, follow-ups, and issue resolution to achieve DSO and cash collection goals.
  • Manage credit holds and credit reviews for the global portfolio, including credit hold release decisions (per policy), credit limit reviews, and preparation of credit review files for assigned customer portfolios.
  • Partner cross-functionally with internal stakeholders (Sales, Operations, Customer Service, Finance) and external customers to resolve billing, invoicing, payment, and collection-related issues.
  • Maintain accurate AR subledger activity, ensuring timely and accurate posting of cash receipts and preparation of AR reconciliations and schedules.
  • Monitor delinquency and exceptions, identifying overdue invoices, gathering backup documentation for debit memos, and coordinating offsets/credits as appropriate.
  • Lead and coordinate dispute and chargeback resolution, serving as an interface between customers and internal teams to drive timely outcomes and reduce aging.
  • Support systems and process changes, including UAT/testing for system upgrades, policy changes, and other ad hoc business needs.
  • Promote strong controls and compliance, ensuring adherence to internal policies and audit requirements for AR activities.

Requirements

  • Degree in Accountancy/Accounting (or related field).
  • 3+ years of experience in Accounts Receivable / Collections / Credit functions.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills; able to work effectively in a regional/multi-national and global environment.
  • Solid working knowledge of AR processes including collections, disputes, cash applications, and reconciliations.
  • Microsoft Office skills, especially advanced excel (VLOOKUP, filters, pivot tables).
  • Hands-on, detail-oriented, comfortable working independently and managing multiple priorities.
