Junior Payroll Accountant responsible for payroll activities in a multinational company. Engaging in data analysis, reconciliation, and reporting for accurate payroll processing.
Responsibilities
Execute accurately and timely daily activities and functions in: Payroll calculation (regular and exceptional / ad-hoc payments): analysis of data impacting salaries in SAP, triggering simulative and productive payments to employees' accounts;
Payroll reconciliation: ensure reconciliation (cross-checking internal records with external statements) of the regular and exceptional / ad-hoc payments after the payroll is completed according to the existing requirements;
Posting to GLs (general ledgers) and Vendors;
Internal and external payroll reporting;
Root cause analysis of mistakes / errors and respective problem solving;
Ensure the availability of updated operational standards (process descriptions / instructions) due to legal or process changes and Nestle Best Practices;
Ensure testing of SAP installation-specific settings in close co-operation with the technical team (initiate all system changes and test the solutions implemented by the technical team);
Close co-operation with the rest of the main team (both its Ukrainian and foreign parts) to ensure a smooth and timely payroll cycle on a permanent basis and provide accurate responses to stakeholders’ inquiries in a timely manner.
Requirements
Minimum 1 year of experience in accounting or finance or data analytics or positions, that involved payroll related activities or data analysis; alternatively, experience in HR administration might also be considered positively
A university degree either in Economics or Accounting or Finance or Data Analysis; alternatively, other degrees that imply at least certain experience with data analysis are welcome as well (for example, Marketing or Applied Linguistics)
Good knowledge of English (both oral and written, a confident B1 level is required at the very least to be considered for this position, any higher level is of course more than welcome)
Good knowledge of French language is nice to have (is not necessary to confidently carry out the main responsibilities, but could be considered as an additional advantage, should the candidate bring this skill)
Experience in working with big volumes of data (extraction from the database, analysis, transformation and finalization) is very nice to have
Good knowledge of MS Office is very nice to have (particularly in Excel, i.e. functions such VLOOKUP or XLOOKUP, pivot tables, conditional formatting etc.)
Good analytical, time-management and communication skills
