About the role

  • Analyst of Sales Operations focusing on variable compensation models for commercial teams at Neogrid, a retail technology company.

Responsibilities

  • Design, maintain and evolve variable compensation models for XDR, Sales Engineers, Customer Success and Implementation teams, ensuring clear, competitive policies aligned with the commercial strategy;
  • Provide analytical insights into growth levers by product, supporting Sales, Finance and HR teams in decision-making on incentive structures and campaigns;
  • Develop annual and ad-hoc incentive campaigns for all revenue teams, from conceiving mechanics to communication, monitoring and result calculation;
  • Monitor individual and team performance covered by variable compensation programs, tracking KPIs, goal variances and adherence to current policies;
  • Advise commercial leaders and managers on the rules, mechanics and criteria of variable compensation programs, serving as a technical reference for questions about calculations and eligibility;
  • Resolve inconsistencies and discrepancies in commission and campaign calculations, acting as the point of contact between Commercial, Finance and Payroll to ensure accurate, timely settlement;
  • Help leadership teams simulate variable compensation scenarios for product launches, mix changes or commercial restructurings, supporting decisions with data and modeling;
  • Assist in drafting and reviewing variable compensation policies, documenting rules, eligibility criteria and approval flows to ensure governance and traceability of programs.

Requirements

  • Experience with: managing variable compensation and commission models for commercial teams (XDR, Sales, CS or similar), designing and running sales incentive campaigns, settling and closing variable compensation with interfaces to Payroll and Finance, and analyzing commercial performance by product, channel or segment;
  • Knowledge of: structuring incentive policies and documenting eligibility rules, revenue and funnel metrics (ARR, MRR, churn, expansion, conversion), advanced Excel or Google Sheets for scenario modeling and RV simulations, quota-setting logic and commission accelerators/decelerators;
  • Familiarity with CRMs such as Salesforce, HubSpot or Pipedrive, payroll processes and tax/charges applied to variable pay;
  • Familiarity with BI tools such as Power BI or Looker;
  • Clear communication skills to translate complex rules into accessible language for teams;
  • Analytical ability to identify inconsistencies and propose adjustments to models;
  • Influential profile, organized and deadline-oriented, especially for monthly commission close;
  • Proactive mindset to anticipate the impact of commercial changes on incentive models.
