About the role

  • Performing operational support duties for cash management products at NBT Bank. Providing training and resolving customer inquiries while ensuring policy compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Provide operational support duties for cash management products and services
  • Fully support the Remote Deposit Capture product
  • Perform business customer setups and prepare contracts
  • Maintain business customer files and monitor product usage and system operations
  • Resolve problems within given authority
  • Comply with all policies and regulations
  • Provide training assistance to business and internal customers
  • Perform a variety of routine daily tasks and participate in special department projects
  • Address and resolve a wide range of complex questions from customers regarding business banking services
  • Account creation for new companies and scanner installations
  • Keep customers informed of new and revised services
  • Ensure all security measures, policies, procedures and controls are adhered to

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Associates degree preferred
  • Customer service and/or sales experience
  • Minimum four years Call Center experience or two years Call Center plus 2 years branch, back-office or other customer support experience
  • NBT experience preferred
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Must have a positive attitude and willingness to work in a team environment
  • PC skills in a Windows environment to include Word/Excel
  • Technical knowledge of the installation and working knowledge of a PC scanner
  • Excellent problem solving skills and the ability to trouble shoot technical issues
  • Ability to provide comprehensive training to customers
  • Understand the roles and functions of various internal departments including Deposit and Loan Operations, Item Processing, Statement Rendering, EFT, Remote Deposit Capture and Research
  • In depth knowledge of bank policies and procedures.
  • Travel required, may include overnights.
  • Valid driver’s license.
