Responsibilities
- Oversee revenue recognition processes and ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, such as ASC 606.
- Manage recording of payroll, bonus calculations, and commission accruals with accuracy and timeliness.
- Supervise capitalization of software development costs and related accounting entries.
- Prepare, review, and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and monthly close activities; ensure accuracy of financial statements.
- Coordinate with external auditors, prepare documentation, and resolve audit queries promptly.
- Identify and implement enhancements to accounting processes for efficiency, scalability, and accuracy.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team; foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- CPA or equivalent certification.
- Minimum 10+ years progressive accounting experience, including leadership roles.
- (Preferred) 4+ years experience working in private equity-backed portfolio company environment(s) or equivalent investment banking experience.
- Strong technical knowledge of GAAP and revenue recognition principles.
- Proven experience managing payroll, commissions, and capitalized software accounting.
- Expertise in audit coordination.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and financial reporting tools.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
