About the role

  • Vice President of Business Development leading strategic partnerships and innovation at Myriad Genetics. Responsible for deal origination, pipeline development, and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Deal Origination & Execution: Identify, evaluate, structure, negotiate, and close strategic deals, partnerships, and acquisitions in oncology, healthcare, and molecular diagnostics
  • Pipeline Development: Build and maintain a robust pipeline of opportunities with target partners, leveraging industry knowledge and network
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Finance, Legal, and Scientific teams to develop partnership models, agreements, and integration plans
  • Technology Scouting: Lead efforts to identify and evaluate new technologies and platforms that fit Myriad’s portfolio strategy
  • Alliance & Post-Transaction Management: Own and realize the value of new agreements post-transaction, demonstrating best-in-class alliance management
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a liaison between partners and internal teams to implement best practices and ensure objectives are met
  • Strategic Leadership: Partner with Myriad’s executive leadership team to shape and execute the long-term business development and growth strategy
  • Governance & Reporting: Adroitly manage existing agreements, ensuring compliance, progress, and value delivery

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Life Sciences, or related field required; MBA or advanced degree is strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years’ progressively responsible experience in business development, mergers & acquisitions, and strategic partnerships within life sciences, healthcare, or molecular diagnostics
  • Significant transaction experience, including strategic evaluation, negotiation, structuring, due diligence, and execution of deals ranging from partnerships to acquisitions and divestitures
  • Deep domain expertise in oncology, healthcare, and molecular diagnostics; a strong network of industry contacts at C-level
  • Proven ability to develop relationships and build presence with senior executives, boards, and investors
  • Skilled at managing multiple, complex, and competing priorities with a strategic mindset and strong attention to detail
  • Track record of fostering collaboration, inclusion, and cross-functional partnerships to achieve corporate objectives
  • Global understanding of industry trends, competitive landscapes, products, technology, customers, and markets
