About the role
- Finance Operations Executive managing financial operations for Japan and Taiwan in a hybrid role. Ensuring compliance and efficiency in cross-border financial processes.
Responsibilities
- Act as the primary financial operator for the Japan market, ensuring smooth settlements and compliance with local regulations.
- Support HQ operations in Taiwan, handling local reconciliation tasks and process optimization.
- Manage the monthly settlement cycle for Japanese merchants/partners.
- Operate Japanese online banking for domestic/international transfers.
- Review B2B/Merchant contracts for correct financial terms.
- Perform daily bookkeeping and ensure compliance with the Qualified Invoice System for consumption tax filing.
- Review and process employee reimbursement claims.
- Handle monthly reconciliation reports for the Taiwan entity.
- Support the Taiwan Finance Operations team in closing books.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 1 years of experience in Finance Operations, Accounting, or similar role.
- Experience working with financial processes/operations specific to the APEC region is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Table) and Google Workspace.
- Japanese language ability (minimum JLPT N2 level / reading and writing required) and Chinese proficiency (experience in traditional Chinese environment).
- English: Working proficiency is a strong plus.
