About the role
- Crime Intelligence Analyst providing tactical analytical assistance for criminal investigations at FDLE. Compiling and analyzing intelligence data from various agencies for law enforcement.
Responsibilities
- Compiling, analyzing, and disseminating information and intelligence from various agencies
- Providing tactical analytical assistance for criminal investigations
- Requesting, receiving and documenting confidential information
- Coordinating inter-state and intra-state information pertaining to criminal activity
- Applying legal issues surrounding the analytic process
Requirements
- Four years of experience in crime analysis or a law enforcement agency
- A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university can substitute for four years of experience
- A master’s degree in criminology, law enforcement intelligence analysis, national or homeland security intelligence, crime analysis or comparable discipline; or a professional certificate can substitute for one year of experience
- Completion of a vocational/technical school program in law enforcement can substitute for one year of experience.
- Excellent multi-tasking skills
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Knowledge of research and intelligence analysis techniques
