About the role

  • Crime Intelligence Analyst providing tactical analytical assistance for criminal investigations at FDLE. Compiling and analyzing intelligence data from various agencies for law enforcement.

Responsibilities

  • Compiling, analyzing, and disseminating information and intelligence from various agencies
  • Providing tactical analytical assistance for criminal investigations
  • Requesting, receiving and documenting confidential information
  • Coordinating inter-state and intra-state information pertaining to criminal activity
  • Applying legal issues surrounding the analytic process

Requirements

  • Four years of experience in crime analysis or a law enforcement agency
  • A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university can substitute for four years of experience
  • A master’s degree in criminology, law enforcement intelligence analysis, national or homeland security intelligence, crime analysis or comparable discipline; or a professional certificate can substitute for one year of experience
  • Completion of a vocational/technical school program in law enforcement can substitute for one year of experience.
  • Excellent multi-tasking skills
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
  • Knowledge of research and intelligence analysis techniques
