Group EQH&S Manager leading EQH&S strategy across European operations at Woolpert. Driving safety culture, guiding organisational risk, and supporting operational excellence.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement a comprehensive group‑wide EQH&S strategy aligned with business objectives.
Advise senior leadership on organisational risk, EQH&S priorities, and emerging regulatory trends.
Ensure compliance with all relevant EQH&S legislation across Ireland, the UK, EU, and international locations.
Lead and coordinate ISO-certified management system audits, ensuring ongoing compliance and continuous improvement.
Oversee audits, inspections, incident investigations, and the implementation of corrective and preventative actions.
Champion a culture of safety, professionalism, and accountability.
Develop and deliver EQH&S training programmes that enhance capability at all organisational levels.
Manage, mentor, and develop a high‑performing EHS team operating across multiple regions.
Standardise EQH&S practices and performance measures across the organisation.
Monitor, analyse, and report performance using KPIs, dashboards, and data-driven insights.
Strengthen cross‑departmental collaboration to ensure consistent application of EQH&S standards.
Represent the organisation professionally to clients, regulators, and industry partners.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or related discipline (Master’s preferred).
IOSH Membership or NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) is desirable.
Experience managing integrated EQH&S Management Systems within multi‑site construction, technical, or engineering environments.
Demonstrated experience with ISO standards and audit processes including preparing for, leading, or coordinating internal and external audits.
Strong understanding of operational and field‑based risk.
Proven leadership experience, including mentoring and developing teams.
Strong data analysis, performance reporting, and evidence‑based decision‑making skills.
Excellent communication skills, with experience delivering training and stakeholder briefings.
Willingness and ability to travel across Europe and internationally as required.
